Black History Month 2026: Black Labor Built America

Just two points I want to add to this:
1. Slavery never ended in America, only certain kinds of slavery did. We still allow slavery as a punishment, and both lawmakers and judges have exploited this loophole for decades to extract free labor from Black people. In fact, there have been cases of judges accepting bribes to wrongfully convict Black boys so their labor can be used to benefit private companies [1].
2. Even if they didn’t directly participate in it, this image explains exactly how wh1te people have benefitted from racism.
